BS8300 is the new code of practice for the design of new buildings and their approaches to meet the needs of disabled people. The Act was recently extended to cover education in schools and colleges, service providers i.e., companies or organisations offering goods and services to the general public.

The PDA101 mini-audio frequency induction loop amplifier is ideal for any application requiring restricted or small area coverage of up to 50m2. It includes two mixed microphone or line level inputs for the connection of desktop microphones, television SCART leads, CD players, etc., and comes in a variety of kit formats to aid specification.

The amplifier's inputs can be easily adjusted for optimum performance using the two level controls provided on its front. An adjustable drive control is also provided, allowing the amplifier's output stage to be set-up to suit the exact requirements of any room.

The PDA200/800 are highly efficient audio frequency induction loop amplifiers specially designed for buildings such as offices, factories, churches and nursing homes where ease of installation and simple operation are just as important as sound quality. With the PDA200 capable of covering 120m2 and the PDA800 400m2 - the range can also cover most applications.

Both amplifiers utilise SigNET's unique 'floating sense' audio processing circuitry and are able to provide a flat frequency response from as low as 20Hz up to the recommended maximum of 16kHz, providing excellent audio quality at a surprisingly low cost. An automatic tracking compressor inside both variants compensates for poor microphone techniques whilst an intelligent system controller provides the high peak current capability required for natural sounding reproduction at the output stage.

The PDA500 and PDA1000 are professional 19" rack-mount induction loop amplifiers offering outstanding sound quality. They are ideal for use in large prestigious applications such as theatres, cathedrals, large conference halls, etc., where first class sound and unrivalled reliability are a must.

Providing 250m2 and 550m2 coverage respectively, they include one balanced/unbalanced microphone input (with optional phantom power) and one balanced/unbalanced line level input. Both inputs accept standard 3pin XLR connectors.

The pre-amplification stage of both amplifiers utilises an advanced signal
processing system that allows tight control over the signal without any degradation of output quality. A selection of internal controls are also provided, allowing the processor to be further adjusted by experienced installers to suit a specific application.

The PDA500 and 1000 are supplied in 1U and 2U cases respectively and both feature an input peak LED, recessed level and drive controls and an output current meter to monitor loop activity. Their flexibility is further enhanced by their compatibility with SigNET's unique 'Outreach plate' input extension system.

People who are hard of hearing can enjoy CLEAR TV sound free from background noise when they switch their hearing aid to the T or MT position within the loop area of a loop amplifier connected to your television via a SCART cable.

A typical loop system for a TV room/ living room would be model DL50/K.
